The Fruitcake is a hilarious comedy about an extended—and quite dysfunctional—family gathering for the annual Christmas tradition: Aunt Hazel's historically inedible fruitcake. But before she can bring it out, some of the relatives steal it and make a bet on whether they can destroy it.
There are two different casts for these performances. Cast 1 performs on Thursday and Saturday, while Cast 2 performs on Friday and Sunday. Director Robbie Riehn shares that he and the cast have had a great time producing this play.
“The title of the play says it all!” he said. “Even though we have heard the jokes many times, we still crack up. It is a good, clean comedy for the whole family. Everyone will identify with many characters, including those from their own families. I had to make two casts because so many kids auditioned! It’s a great problem to have.”
The show is produced by special arrangement with Heuer Publishing LLC in association with Brooklyn Publishers, LLC.
