Perry County Middle School is celebrating a record-number of All-District Band members. Eighteen members of the PCMS Band qualified for All-District Band during auditions held Nov. 2 at Jackson High School.
“For months PCMS band students have been preparing audition materials for the Southeast Missouri All-District Band,” said Director David Barani. “At Jackson, our students battled against students from all over this corner of the state. We had a school- record number of students audition with 42, and a school -ecord number of students make it with 18. We had the second-most students in the band after Jackson for the third consecutive year. The closest to us was Cape Central with six students. The students put a lot of hard work in, please let them know you're proud of them.”
