Project Hope is hosting a free service day for everyone from 10 am – 2 pm Friday, Oct. 11 at the Shawnee Park Center at 835 South West End Boulevard in Cape Girardeau.   Services provided will include flu vaccinations; preventative mammograms and breast exams; access to birth certificates, driver’s licenses and Social Security cards; legal assistance; housing, education, and employment resources; medial and vision assessments; free hygiene kits; free groceries; free pet services and treats. We are asking for feedback about this year’s Back-To-School Open Houses held at each of our schools. If you have students in multiple buildings, we ask that you complete a survey for each building where you attended Open House. There are 8 questions, which are estimated to take about 4 minutes to complete. We will use your feedback to help us plan future Open House events at Perry County School District 32. The Perry County Health Department will hold a back-to-school immunization clinic at PCSD on Thursday, Aug. 15 from Noon to 7:30 pm. High Schoolers can receive immunizations at the PHS Library, and middle schoolers can receive immunizations at the PCMS Conference Room. No appointment is needed. If you have questions about required immunizations/exemptions, please call the Health Department at 573-547-6564.
The D32 Open Houses are set for Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15, from Noon to 7:30 pm. Families may come at their convenience, with the exception of students entering Grade 9 at Perryville High School, who will attend Freshman Orientation at an assigned time

Perry County School District 32 will hold its Back-To-School Open Houses on Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15.  The schedule is:   Wednesday, Aug. 14 from Noon to 7:30 pm  - Perryville Primary Center and Perryville Elementary School  Thursday, Aug. 15 from Noon to 7:30 pm - Perry County Middle School, Perryville High School*, and Perryville Area Career & Technology Center  * Students entering 9th grade and their parents will attend Freshmen Orientation on Aug. 15. Freshmen with Last Names A-L will attend orientation from 4-6 pm, and freshmen with Last Names M-Z will attend orientation from 6-8 pm. Freshmen and parents can also participate in Open House outside those times.   Parents will receive additional details from their students' school buildings.
The next Board Open House will be held from 6:00-6:45 pm Wednesday, July 10 at Perryville Elementary School. Board members Melissa Hahn and Rich Dix will be on hand to visit with parents, students, staff, and community members. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the new elementary principal, Dr. Amy Dill. A curriculum review will be presented by Chief Academic Officer Jane Narrow in the PES Library beginning at 6 pm.   The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education follows at 7 pm at the Central Office (Old Senior High School). Board meetings are open to the public. Immanuel Lutheran Church will host its annual Backpack Bonanza on Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 8:30 am-3:30 pm in the ILS Gym at 452 N. West St. in Perryville.
