PACTC now registering for spring classes

 

The Spring Adult & Community Education classes offered through Perryville Area Career & Technology Center will begin in March.

 

Three courses are offered this spring: Exploration in Painting with Heather White, Introduction to Microsoft Excel with Sarah Danz-Hansen, and Basic Stained Glass with Joe Martin.

Course information

 

Explorations in Painting will be offered on Tuesday evenings in March from 5:30-7:30 pm in Ms. White’s art classroom. Participants will complete two painting using different art media including watercolor, ink, acrylic and more. The course is for all skill levels, from beginner to advanced. The fee is $50 and includes all supplies.

 

Introduction to Microsoft Excel will be offered on Monday evenings in March from 5:30-7:30 pm in Ms. Danz-Hansen’s business classroom. Participants will learn to create and manipulate electronic spreadsheets, charts, formulas, budgets, invoices, etc. The fee is $50.

 

Basic Stained Glass will be offered on Tuesday, March 11 and 18, from 6:30 to 9 pm in the Career Center Multipurpose Room. Students will learn about the Tiffany-style copper foil technique of stained glass. Participants will learn to transfer patterns to glass, make simple glass cuts, foil pieces and solder them to create a simple suncatcher. The fee is $60 and includes all supplies.

 

Instructors wanted

Do you quilt, work with wood, knit, do yoga, play guitar, or garden? Have you taught people how to use their iPhone or digital camera? Do you like to help others learn to cook or decorate cookies?  We’d love for you to share your talents with the community! Our instructors are paid and class expenses are covered.
