The PCMS Pegleg Players (Perry County Middle School Drama Club) will present ‘Tuck Everlasting’ by Mark Frattaroli on April 25-27. Shows are set for 7 pm Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, and 2 pm Sunday, April 27 at the Perry Park Center Theater.

The PCMS Pegleg Players (Perry County Middle School Drama Club) will present ‘Tuck Everlasting’ by Mark Frattaroli on April 25-27. Shows are set for 7 pm Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26, and 2 pm Sunday, April 27 at the Perry Park Center Theater. 

“The show had to be moved to the Park Center Theater after the Old Senior HIgh school sustained damage during the March 14 tornado,” said Director Robbie Riehn. “We are extremely grateful to the City of Perryville and the Perry Park Center for allowing us to use the theater for our show.”

Tuck Everlasting is a one-hour adaptation of the book written by Natalie Babbitt. The story is set in 1880, 10-year-old Winnie Foster, trapped by the rules imposed by her strait-laced family, runs away and discovers the humble Tucks who had accidentally stumbled upon a spring long ago that gave them eternal life. Winnie promises to keep their dangerous secret but then a sinister stranger in a yellow suit arrives at their door with intentions to steal the immortal water for himself. Ultimately, Winnie must choose whether or not to drink the immortal water and join them in an everlasting adventure – or live on in a natural way, living a life full of the ordinary beauty of growth and change.

The cast, in order of appearance, includes: Voices of Josi Bodendieck, Paisley Michael, Ally Bridges, and Jessi Neal. Mae Tuck is played by Gracelynn Grein, Angus Tuck is played by Macie Stueve, Voice is played by Grace Endicott, Winnie Foster is played by Saylor Blechle, and Granny Foster is played by Elaina Taylor. 

Jazmine Welsh plays the Stranger, Voice is played by Hayden Warren, Jesse Tuck is played by Delilah Adams, and Voices are played by Lily Cooper, Adalynn Taylor, Alayna Galeski, Brooke Palmer and Brock Carey. Constable is played by Alaina Brozak. Voices are played by Selene Gonzalez, and Aleigha Gilliam. 

Costumes were designed by Jennifer Birk-Cook, lighting is by Wes Pfaff, and Drew Layton is on microphones. Tuck Everlasting is produced by special arrangement with Stage Partners.
